Our 2024 GCSE results are the highest results in the school’s eighteen-year history!

Nearly three-quarters of students this year (73%) achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths, and nearly nine-in-ten students (87%) achieved a grade 4 or above. This represents strong improvements of five percentage points in each measure on the already high results of last year. In addition, over a third (36%) of grades in all subjects were the highest grades of 7-9.

Some of our top performers:

  • Twins Ali and Leen: Ali gained a perfect score of ten grade 9s and Leen achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8.
  • Muflih who earned a perfect score of ten grade 9s
  • Shahd and Yara who both achieved eight grade 9s and two grade 8s

22 students (14% of the cohort) gained three A*/A grades, the highest number ever seen at the school. 

Performance was particularly strong in Maths, where 63% of students gained an A*/A, Further Maths (57%) and Chemistry 51%.

Some of our top achievers:

  • Yousif who gained four A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics and will read Physics at the University of Oxford
  • Masum who gained three A* grades and one A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and History and will study Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial
  • Amany who achieved two A* grades and one A and will study Dentistry at Kings College
  • Maryam who achieved two A* grades and one A and will study Mechanical Engineering at Imperial
  • Isobel who achieved two A* grades and one A and will study Medicine at Imperial 

95% of students are expected to take up a university offer this year based on the high results achieved.

  • 40% of all A Level grades were A*-A
  • 95% of A Level grades were A*-C 
  • 72% of BTEC/vocational entries achieved grade Distinction or Distinction and  93% were graded at Merit or above.
  • More than two thirds of Year 11 students (68%) achieved a grade 5 or above in both GCSE English and maths, whilst a quarter of the cohort (26%) were awarded a grade 7 or higher in the two subjects.

Nearly three quarters of students achieved a grade 5 or above in English and maths in 2022

A high percentage (83%) of students at the academy take the English Baccalaureate (which covers five key subjects – English, maths, sciences, a language and history/geography) and 55% of them achieved this at a grade 5 or above in all subjects taken as part of this.
