Applying for a place in Year 7

All admissions to Paddington Academy are processed by Westminster City Council through the online secondary transfer process. 

We are significantly significantly oversubscribed for Year 7 entry, but when vacancies arise, we admit students to all years at fixed points throughout the school year. A ‘waiting list’ is currently held for prospective students in all year groups.

The deadline for applying for a Year 7 place for September 2025 is 31st October 2024.

Admissions timeline for students starting Year 7 in September 2025

Deadline for submitting your application for a Year 7 place for September 2025 Thursday 31st October 2024
Offer letters sent out to families via email from Westminster Council Monday 3rd March 2025
Deadline for accepting your offer Monday 17th March 2025

Subsequent student induction dates for summer 2025 at Paddington Academy will be added later in the year.

The Pupil Admission Number (PAN) for September 2025 is 180.

Determined Admission Arrangements Notice 2024/25

In accordance with Regulation 17 of the School Admissions Regulations 2012, admission arrangements must be formally determined by the responsible admission authority.  Access here the guidelines from Westminster City Council. 

The Governing Body at Paddington Academy formally determine the admission arrangements for the academic year of entry 2024/25. No changes were made to the admission arrangements from the previous year with the exception of statutory dates and a copy of the policy is available for your view here.
