Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has an important role to play in safeguarding children. School staff are particularly important as they are in a position to identify concerns early and provide help for children, to prevent concerns from escalating. Schools and their staff form part of a wider safeguarding system for children. We recognise that our students may be vulnerable during their school years and will always adopt a sensitive and caring approach to support them and their families.
The governors and staff will carry out their responsibilities efficiently, effectively and diligently to ensure that the school is a safe and effective learning environment for our students.
Daniel Riley-Furse, Vice Principal - Behaviour, Safeguarding and Key Stage 3 is our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Claire Newport, Child Protection Officer is our Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
Ann Murphy, Student Support Mentor - Student Welfare
