We are excited to introduce the Climate Council, a passionate group of students dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing our school's environmental impact. Led by Fouad Abou Khalil and Amelia Mugalaasi, the Climate Council has been working on initiatives to make our school a greener and more eco-friendly place.
From Friday, 17th January, to Thursday, 23rd January, our school will be marking Energy Saving Week.
During this time, the Climate Council is focusing on ways to reduce the school's daily. energy consumption. You may notice some new signs to help remind us all to reduce our energy consumption.
This astonishing amount highlights the importance of making small changes to conserve energy, which can benefit both the environment and our school's budget.
Here's how you can help during Energy Saving Week:
We encourage you to remind students to take part in this effort. Small, consistent actions from everyone can lead to significant savings and set an example of environmental responsibility for our school community.
We are proud to be working with Let's Go Zero on a Carbon Nautral Action Plan to reduce our carbon footprint.
All of the food waste from our kitchen is collected by Refood, the first organisation to generate renewable energy from food waste. Using a closed-loop process, Refood turn our food waste into renewable energy, bio-fertiliser and more.
